Vietnamese Boat
People, 1984. A group of Vietnamese Boat people arrived in the
new town of Craigavon in County Armagh. They were well cared for
by many voluntary charity organisations from the beginning. These
pictures were taken in a local community centre.
However, they were
unhappy with the conflict in Northern Ireland, and soon left to
live elsewhere, including England and U.S.A. A few families still
remain.
